Art Soirée 2024 Part 1
Переглядів 20Місяць тому
Okay, before the big show I did a walk-around of the gallery in the shed. Every year Rebecca Zak (my artist-wife), and myself put on an art show! This show is something we look forward to and it gives us a goal and due-date to work towards. Humans are better when we have something exciting to look forward to and things to do! I didn't make art for years! Then I got depressed... and solved that....

Thank you Peter Baraniecki for filming this. I didn't take any pictures or videos and was sad about that, and then I remembered that you told me you filmed. This is a great memory. This is an annual art show that my wife Rebecca Zak and myself put on. It is something to work towards and insanely satisfying! What an honour if someone you really like, buys your artwork because they connected with...

Awesome! Do you remove the cardboard after the resin dries, or sell the print with the cardboard inside?
Needed a boardslide test
Idk, this video shows ART RESIN yellowed worst ua-cam.com/video/rmu6zvu3Nfc/v-deo.htmlsi=nOG_qh10rS5QL9oM
Thanks, this video helped me to correct my edges. Need to see the technique with the tape.
What a CRAP 😂🤣😂
hello I did a top coat on a table but I got some missing on the top spots and the edges are dripped, can I use more epoxy to cover and sand it down later to match the previous coat?
You can fix bare spots or remove drips/surface imperfections by sanding the cured resin, smoothing any uneven spots. Once you have sanded, clean off any sanding dust and then pour a second layer. To reduce drips around the edges, run your gloved hand around the sides to smooth out drips. You can use painters table on the underside of the table to collect any drips and remove the tape once the resin cures.
@@Artresin thanks you so much!!! suscribed
thanks for the subscription :) @@wildnrnr5502
Can you do the top of the deck? And how to not have it all in the middle
You could do the top but it is super glossy and would be slippery too. You could apply the grip tape overtop once it cured. To avoid pooling you can apply in a thin layer using a brush or smoothing on with your gloved hand.
Hi! I’m fascinated and inspired by your research! I want to know more, but I found that the links are no longer live… I’m doing ABR for my PhD, and recently presented on applying the process at the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association’s annual conference held in Taiwan
Santa Cruz literally made a skateboard with a plastic coating on it. No matter how hard you try to scratch it, it rarely gets any scratches, you really really need hard to try and scratch it. Sadly they don't exist anymore and im disappointed after buying the vx Santa cruz version because it's just raw wood, no protection. Does Anyone know what kind of coating they did on it, because the coating or the graphic was literally half a centimeter thick
What if you didn't do that and it's already dry?
You can always sand the edges to smooth them out, then apply a layer of ArtResin with a gloved hand, or just paint them black after sanding.
@@Artresin oh my gosh i wasn't expecting a response but thank you so much!!
Thanks for the video! That is the only thing you did not show, what is the way successfully protect the back of the wood panel from the epoxy resin drips?
The best way to prevent the drips from sticking to the back of your panel is to use painters tape and mask off the back. Once the resin has cured hard enough to handle, you can pull off the tape and any resin drips will come with it.
Polyester has been used for coating wood and boat making
Can you fix one that has sagged
The best fix would be to lightly sand the cured resin surface then pour another layer of fresh resin over top. This fresh layer will level out the lower area and leave you with a nice flat smooth surface.
I did it too. This is what I used Woodglut designs for
This is a great business! Kids will love it!!!
What kind of wood did you use for the photo you have mounted?
We like to use birch art panels, but you can use any kind of wood. Be careful that you take the time to seal the wood first to help prevent any off gassing which will leave you with bubbles.
I love teh resin on canvas but my art turn yellow, what do yuu do? base coat? what dou you use to prevent turning yellow> thank you
We are sorry to learn that your artwork showed some signs of yellowing. While ArtResin contains some very powerful UV stabilizers in its formula, unfortunately UV is not the only cause for yellowing art. Other factors such as bulking, over torching, interactions with other art materials such as titanium dioxide which is found in most white paint, can all contribute to accelerated yellowing. Avoiding UV rays, excess heat, and allowing paints to cure fully prior to applying resin can help! We would be happy to help try to understand what happened, drop us a line with photos to support@artresin.com
Nice, we’re going soon follow along in 2022 🤷♂️🤫🌎
Interesting. Maybe jumping the gun at 20 mins in... Some things simply are 'facts', this sort of thinking has limits, without which you get people believing the world is flat
Golden ratio, not spiral, tards.
The music to this made this insufferable to watch.

ouch....tough crowd! lol.
😮😮
I have done very similar with woodglut designs.
Awesome, dude!
Where can I buy wood canvas
You can find them online or at your favourite art store.
what would happen if I wanted to print off a piece of art on paper, then seal it onto the skateboard with resin/polyurethane? I'm not artistic and avoid using paint when possible.
You can easily do this! Just test the paper first, it may require a sealer to prevent it from absorbing the resin. Once sealed you can use a spray adhesive to fix it to the board, use a roller to ensure there are no air pockets trapped behind it, then coat with ArtResin.
thanks, this video was really helpful. i have seen people draw on board but i never knew there is a wooden canvas. Always taught canvas are made of cloth and prime with white gloss and white glue on something.
Is this 1/3 of gallon of each component? Or 1/3 in total?
The calculator on ArtResin.com will calculate the total amount of mixed ArtResin required- you will then mix 50% resin and 50% hardener for the perfect 1:1 ratio :)
I want to purchase a large amount of epoxy how would I do that
Our large canvas fell down and has a crack can we repair it
I really like your rotisserie! Do you have a video on how you set that up? I primarily create jigs for bass fishing. I hang dry my epoxy-coated jigs and as you may have guessed, it does leave a small drip bead at the top of my jigs if I'm not careful to remove the excess. Thanks and nice video
It's should be a trombone playing..
nice video. When you apply with your hands, how can you make sure the resin have no streaks?
Great question. ArtResin will self level as it cures so even when you smooth it on with your gloved hand, it will usually level out smooth before it cures.
@@Artresin thank you again 👌
extremely good content Raising Creativity. I killed that thumbs up on your video. Continue to keep up the really good work.
Thanks :)
What if I don’t got that hot gun thing
The butane torch is used to clear off any bubbles that rise to the surface after pouring on your resin. You can use a heat gun if you don't have a butane torch.
how does affect board and nose slides? does it make it more slick?
I have 1 pallet of skateboard decks and 2 pallets of longboard decks.. 98% are complete blanks and the rest say Quest…. Anyone want to please take them away
Me I will take them
Lol send.
